What we collect

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookie-free, does not track you across sites) and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages are useful and where to improve. GA4 sets cookies and may use your IP address and device information to generate aggregated usage statistics; it does not identify you by name. We do not run logins, accounts, or advertising trackers of our own.

Your cookie choice

Analytics cookies are off by default. On your first visit we ask whether to turn them on; nothing is set until you choose. You can change your mind anytime using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.

If you subscribe to The Janeite Post, your email address is stored by our newsletter provider, Beehiiv, solely to send the newsletter. Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe. The subscribe form itself is rendered by a Beehiiv script that loads regardless of your cookie choice, since without it the form cannot appear at all. Beehiiv's separate attribution-tracking script, which helps us see which pages bring in subscribers, only loads if you accept cookies below.
